Teeming swarms

Billions
Saprobic
In the arm pits
Of my cotton-poly pocketed crew neck pull-over.

Hosiery home
Haven for heterotrophs
A universe unto itself
My casual-comfort mid calf sock.

We are together.
A symbiotic odorous ensemble.
A week of yellow shit storms
Maybe.
Escherichia coli polyester!

the only thing bad about this is it hurts my head to look up the words.
who the fuck uses these words and expects someone to comprehend?
seriously bad. but it feels good. i just have to check if these unfamiliars' emotive qualities mesh with their actual definitions.

saprobic = An organism that derives its nourishment from nonliving or decaying organic matter
hetrotrophs = an organism requiring organic compounds for its principal source of food
Escherichia coli = normally occurs in human and animal intestines, can cause urogenital tract infections and diarrhea in infants and adults.

so lemme guess, you just studied for a test in biology and these vocab words described something near-and-dear that helped cement them contextually. good for you.

What… you could not tell the meanings of the words by the context? Did you need to go to Stamford or something?
