I feel like God when I make you suffer and make you sin.
It makes me feel like God when I don't answer your calls.
Why would a loving God make us suffer when he made us to sin?
Why does a dog lick his balls?

I wanna treat you like a Tough Love Jesus.
I wanna show you how to throw the first stone.
I wanna treat you like a Tough Love Jesus.
I wanna make you drive the first nail on your own.

(very long saxophone solo)

I'm gonna treat you like a Tough Love Jesus.
Gonna show you how to throw the very first stone.
Gonna make you enable me like a co-dependent Jesus.
and laugh while you try to drive the last nail alone.

CODA:
You'll love it when I tell you
that power of the Tough Love Christ compels you
to sell your soul for salvation.
to sell your soul for salvation.

You'll love it when I tell you
that power of the Tough Love Christ compels you
to sell your soul for salvation.
to sell your soul for salvation.

You gotta
sell your soul for salvation.

  • IMPROVED; Tough Love Jesus (a lyric)

    I feel like God when you say I'm right to do things wrong.
    I feel like God when I answer why with because.
    But how can they say that God is right when he does what he said was wrong?
    His whim is law, no matter what he does.

    I wanna treat you like a Tough Love Jesus.
    I wanna show you how to throw the first stone.
    I wanna teach you like a Tough Love Jesus
    and watch you drive the first nail on your own;
    wanna see you swing that six-pound hammer on your own.

    It makes me feel like God when I make you suffer then make you sin
    It makes me feel like God when I don't return your calls.
    But why would a loving God make people suffer when they're born to sin?
    Why does a dog lick his balls?

    And when I've pwn3d your ass like a Tough Love Jesus,
    tossed the bathwater and baby out with the very first stone,
    I'm gonna use your fear to enable myself like a Co-Dependent Jesus
    and laugh while you try to drive the last nail alone;
    with no free hand to drive the last nail alone.

    (definitely way too long saxophone solo, then, abruptly...)

    You'll love it when I tell you
    that the power of the Tough Love Christ compels you
    to sell your soul for salvation;
    to sell me your soul for salvation.

    You'll believe it when I tell you
    that the power of the Tough Love Christ compels you
    to sell your soul for salvation;
    to sell me your soul for salvation.

    You'll damn well do it when I tell you
    that the power of the Tough Love Christ compels you
    to sell your soul for salvation;
    you'll sell me your soul for salvation.

    You'll sell me your immortal soul.
    You'll sell me your soul for salvation.
