      Azure is only bad if it is being used as a way of not saying 'blue'.

      That is, if there is some reason to specify azure, doing so is not bad.

      If I actually bothered to do more than skim the poem in question, I could probably render a more complete opinion,
      but the 'and gold' thing suggests to me that the only thing achieved by not using 'blue' is to avoid free viral marketing for
      a boat cruise company.

      For a truly bad effect, though, just put 'gold' before 'blue', since gold will upstage blue and make it work as a bit of a let-down.
