I collect souls.
Unlike the lovers and the parasites,
I read into the needs of my hosts.
When I pass those others,
I hear their recollections.
What they recall seems to be my own worship of them,
But this does not push out the fog of their disdain.
It elevates the parasite.
It creates space for their worship.
